Jamie Foxx: Let him recover, and mind your business!

Comedian and actor, Jamie Foxx set off a firestorm due to an IG story where he posted about a friend who betrayed him. In common Black church fashion, he alluded to the betrayal of Jesus by Judas. He even followed up with the hashtag #fakefriends.

Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston initially liked the story. However, when she started to feel the heat of ten thousand suns from the Jewish community, in typical Karen fashion, she turned her millions of followers against him, and he was left holding the racist bag.

Two things can be true at once! Being betrayed by a close friend (a Judas)is a prevalent Black church reference. In white Christianity, Jesus being murdered by Jews has been used as a symbol of hate against Jews. Black church culture is just as relevant and vital to our society as any other culture.

Jamie Foxx apologized to the Jewish community. But the true apology should come from Karen, I mean Jennifer Aniston for being ignorant of Black church culture, and for throwing Jamie Foxx under the bus, while he’s trying to recover from a medical emergency.

If you are unsure of what Jamie Foxx intended with his IG story, perhaps spending some time in a Black church will suffice, or even better use Google. It’s free, and takes very little effort.
